People even asked for API access to create their own work around. I am guessing that the reverse feature doesn't work because my remote has a Summer and Winter button instead of one button.

I was able to set this up with Alexa and Google Home, everything works as advertised. I actually had an issue with setup but I went to the manufacturer's website and got an online chat rep instantly. Turns out I needed to sync it using a different button, was tricky because my remote didn't have the most of the exact buttons it was asking me to use for sync. Once setup though I am able to control every function of my fan and light. Each fan comes with its own remote control, assigned directly to that particular machine. Typically, ceiling fan remotes have jumpers or dip switches to change their frequency.
